  1. Hi,

Know it's been a while, not been betting so much recently. Ended up spending more time in the pub mind.

If you have a Stonegate pub near you, their new MiXR app gives you a free £5 off (no min spend) and a free drink when you download.

Here's the link if you fancy it - full disclosure I get a free £5 too which will make the Cruzcampo 30p for a pint for me 😂

You can also "immorally" get more freebies by opening an account in the dog/cats name if you want to get bladdered.

Join MiXR using my code (RFRP22X5)

    https://mixrapp.page.link/rYtZmq9VxbecCCM57

Feel free to remove if not allowed, just trying to increase my beer tokens and pass on the freebies

  2. Good to see the forum back, posting a fancy and a one to watch for tomorrow :

8.00 Wolves Saturday INTERVENTION - Currently about 9/1, I'm expecting it to drift a little. Ran in the listed race last week at Wolverhampton @80/1. I was on 3 places at 40/1 and it finished 4th of 6 3L behind the winner, but ahead of Dr Khan Jr who is a progressive horse rated 99 off level weights - Intervention is rated 91. Down in class now, much easier assignment.

    7.30 Wolves - Juan Les Pins -

First time over a mile and Appleby sends him over 1m4, furthest previous is 7f and ran over 5f last week. I haven't seen a step up this sharp for what is a decent horse, currently 11s but unless theres a gamble on I can see it going off 50s plus as I really can't see it staying 1m4, and finishing tailed off but I'll watch out of curiousity

    Good luck

Well done to anyone with the 150/1 shot in the first, given the 3/4l 2nd to His Majesty first time out, you could say it was overpriced!

  4. Been doing OK so far this week, main highlights so far being Mostadaf yesterday at 18s and Rogue Millennium W/O fav at 17/2.

Biggest fancy today is Accidental Agent in the last at 40s EW, along with a stab at Broome in the Gold cup and American Rascal in the first. If I have a good day, might even tempt me to spend the winnings going in person tomorrow!

  5. In my opinion you just need to box clever with supermarkets, if you like brands shop strategically, just buy the loss leaders. Recently Morrisons did 24 Cans of Pepsi for a £5, pretty much guaranteed loss when you include the transport and replen costs. Also, most of them charge fair prices for own brand and join in with the suppliers in shafting you on the big brands, over £1 for a tin of Heinz beans, £5 for Ketchup and £3 for a box of Mr Kipling. It's crazy how some people are so loyal to brands when own brands are very similar and in some cases a quarter of the price.

  6. Back having a go on the horses as Ascot is nearing.

Had a bet today on Corinthia Knight 20.30 Pontefract

Course specialist (6/9) and won the race last year off 3lb higher. The field look tougher this year, with Oso Rapido punted heavily last night so that seems to be the danger.

    Other 2 for today are

    Mountain Peak 7.10 W

    The Whipmaster 8.10 W

  7. @Rocknrolla With regard to the betting and banks taking an issue with it, my "Betting Bank account" is with Metro Bank, although I obviously don't punt the amounts you do, they seem fairly laid back and have multiple 4 figure cashouts, and paid in and withdrew cash of up to 1k with no issue so may be worth a look, can open acc online too.

Boylesports are the only shop bookie I use, they do BOG on horses from the evening before, so you can get some decent early prices. Don't really bother with any affordability either, as I see many punters sticking hundreds on the sport ssbts with no q's asked

    Speculative Punt for later today

3.50 Dundalk - It's all a Joke not bet yet- will give a miss if I can't get 50's+, would use exchange but want E/W

The reason this one caught my eye is how well it goes fresh, every chance age may have caught up, but absolute bottom weight in the race (47 with a 5lb claim) Dundalk was a regular track before the break.

Eventually managed to get £5 on at 60 win, and 12 to place on smarkets, not that it was worth anything, either needed the run or age caught up!

    11.50 Lingfield Maysong 5/1

Ran Creditably last twice, getting chinned on the line LTO by well handicapped and punted veteran. Same apprentice booked again, hopefully can take advantage.

    12.55 Lingfield Grand Central 12/1

This looks to be a strong nursery, and this runner (depending on run) might be one for a handicap in the new year. Looks able to take advantage of a 70 mark which is generous based on the placed run. Mcentee yard in form and Doyle booked so a few positives but small stakes this time.

    14.05 Lingfield Silky Wilkie 10/1

Still looks well handicapped, beat by Fine Wine who then won a conditions race against higher rated rivals and had Alligator Alley behind that day, then subsequently 1.5 l behind Alligator Alley the time after. Alligator Alley then subsequently won off a 4lb higher mark. So those who have finished Infront have been very well handicapped and expect a big run.

Grand Central run an absolute stinker, 11s to 25s before the off too

  12. Been some decent games so far, some very poor showings and also some underdogs showing their A game.

Alan Soutar, Scott Williams have the ability to get to L16/L8 if they continue to perform to the standard they have. Danny Baggish is a big game player, similar to how Jamie Lewis also only showed up at the Worlds so can see him putting up another decent effort.

Of the favourites, I'm expecting an early-ish exit for both Price and Wright. Van Barneveld and Anderson could both go far but it depends which version turns up, if Anderson has been practicing with Searle he could be dangerous.

Of the next few days I'm looking at:

Woodhouse +2.5 sets v Price @8/11 (basically he needs to win 1 set)

Leonard Gates to beat Geert Nentjes @5/4

RVB -1.5 sets v Meikle @EVS and match treble at 3/1

Callan Rydz to beat Josh Rock (who is Overhyped and underpriced) @2/1

    Baggish to beat Merv @5/4

Going to Chuck em all in a Canadian and see how it goes!

Anyone heard from him? Casino grounds Kim Said he has got 6 months in the Slammer but didn’t say why

Letsgiveitaspin say that everyone is in "Yail" as a running joke, even though it's not even comical, Bandit was in Yail until recently. I'm sure Rolla will be back before long l with one of those £25 to ???. Don't know many folks that deposit £25 and go £10 spins!

  14. Providing Wolverhampton is on tomorrow, I'll have a go on Strong Power in the 14.39. I did manage to catch him right earlier in the year when he won here at 25s, and given only 2lbs higher and the fact that its the AW season where a few runners run below form and rusty, 11s is a fair price.

There are a few threats in the race, Alligator Alley is capable based on the Irish form he has, and Tone the Barone and Venturous are both past winners, showing they don't mind this time of year.

Good luck of you have a dabble (and it's not abandoned!)

  15. Few for Dundalk tomorrow night as I've been starved of Flat racing this week

18.00 Dundalk Zig Zag Zyggy been round a few yards in his time, but now off to McGuiness who has been know to improve a few workhorses in his time, career low mark with 7lb claimer on, needs to improve but at 20s I'll take a punt.

20.00 Dundalk Sunday Sovereign - Very speculative, looks a regressive horse but has run into places and decent time figures earlier this year, a run to that sort of form should be enough off only 80 now, comes with a 7lb claimer too, I'll have an EW nibble at 40s but be warned didn't so anything LTO at Dundalk, so purely based on older form
